Magic of Seeds

Christmas.png

As a kid I loved Christmas morning, waking up early, and in the quiet stillness, sitting and looking at what was beneath the Christmas tree. We had a rule in our house that no one could touch anything until everyone was awake and gathered. Our Santa presents were unwrapped. This was my favorite part—the eager anticipation. I could see what was to become and think about how I would use it. I could daydream about the days ahead. It was absolutely magical.

As a mom, I’ve carried on the tradition of just looking and not touching until all Seven Murphs reach the living room.

“Hold Up, Callie!” I hear you screaming.

“I thought this newsletter was about your back-to-school sale!? Why are we talking about Christmas?”

I Promise it all goes together. Just keep reading.

Just like Christmas morning, gardening is magical. When you begin to plant your seeds you will understand. Tiny little seeds are full of hope, excitement, eager anticipation...magic. Seriously, a tiny tomato seed can grow into an eight-foot-tall plant giving a hundred little bite-sized fruit. Can you taste them!? Each morning it is thrilling to watch the miracle grow as you check on your garden.

However, unlike Christmas morning, this magic happens all year long in the Learn to Bloom garden!!! Houston has twelve months of kitchen gardening. The key is knowing what to grow and when to grow it.

Don’t Miss Out On The Magic!!!

Start growing a kitchen garden in your backyard today!

Learn to Bloom is here to help guide you through the process of growing a kitchen garden right here in Houston.

And because we know some of you are overwhelmed, wanting to learn about gardening, but unable to fit one more thing (like researching Houston’s growing seasons)into your daily schedule, we have a deal for you! We have made a garden box bundle that we are excited to share. You buy the locally crafted 3’x3’x2’ raised garden bed and we throw in all kinds of freebies. DIY gardening has never been so easy.

We know you want to learn, so we have bundled our box with a printable PDF to help you find the right location for your space, how much soil to purchase, and what plants are best suited for growing in September. We will give you a sample planting plan for our current warm season, and we will give you a plan for the Cool season that follows. Six months of growing right there!

But because we really want everyone to experience the magic of growing we are throwing in virtual coaching!!

Yes, that is right. Learn to Bloom will host three 45min virtual group coaching sessions to answer any questions and give encouragement in the first two sessions. The third session in November will be about transitioning your garden for the winter. I’ve been Gardenary’s Southwest Regional coach supporting hundreds of students for the past Spring and Summer courses.

Currently, we are selling our Back to School Beginner Box for only $300. This package is easily worth twice that!! It’s made of 2” thick naturally rot-resistant cedar. It’s 2’ deep making it perfect for kids to reach in without falling in and crushing young plants. It also allows roots to grow deep to support strong healthy plants. This bundle is for this week only!

The Box will be delivered on Wednesday, Sept. 1 so you can take advantage of the three-day weekend. One more thing….the first 5 orders get free seeds and organic fertilizer. Yep, more free stuff. It’s like we are bribing you to grow organic food right outside your kitchen door. That’s how much we want you to experience the magic of growing.

Don’t stay on the fence long! Friday we take it off the website and our builders start building.

Are you ready to Bloom!? I can’t wait to show you YOUR green thumb.
